Into the Woods Coming to DVD October 28

METAMORA, IL (October 13, 2008) -- David Zimmerman III's homage to 1980's horror, Into the Woods, is coming to DVD on Tuesday, October 28, 2008. The Unrated Director's Cut Edition features an 85 minute behind-the-scenes documentary, a blooper reel, trailers, deleted and alternate scenes, and a feature commentary by writer/director David Zimmerman III.

The film follows five college students venture into the woods for an evening of partying and good old fashion camping. The next day, four of them go missing and the race to find them stirs up a roller coaster of terror and unexpected events.

The DVD will be available for purchase from the Ten Thirty-One Pictures website and Amazon.com. The soundtrack featuring the chilling score by Jake LaDuke will also be available on Ten Thirty-One Pictures website, Amazon.com, and iTunes.

 

About David Zimmerman III

David Zimmerman III has been making movies since he was old enough to pickup a video camera. He heads motion picture production at Ten Thirty-One Pictures and works closely with Levi Obery to develop and produce original, quality, cutting-edge movies. Zimmerman's production company, Z3 Films, is a division of Ten Thirty-One Pictures Entertainment Inc. Z3 Films continues to produce and distribute its own films; however it does so now as a part of Ten Thirty-One Pictures.

Zimmerman attended Columbia College Chicago and graduated with honors and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film and Video.

Zimmerman has worked with Levi Obery since 2002 when they produced the film from which Ten Thirty-One Pictures received its name. Zimmerman then co-directed, produced, and edited The Only Way, the controversial film about a school shooting. The following summer, he co-directed, produced, and edited the short film Before the Storm. Zimmerman also wrote, directed, and edited Into the Woods, his homage to '80's horror films and also the fourth film with Obery. In 2008, Zimmerman served as second unit director of photography for Edgar Michael Bravo's One Hour Fantasy Girl. Most recently, Zimmerman executive produced and served as director of photgraphy on Bravo's psychological thriller The Magic Stone. Zimmerman is currently developing several new projects for both Ten Thirty-One Pictures and Z3 Films.

Zimmerman currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
